Delta Spirit - 'Delta Spirit' CD Review

I don't like to gush and blah blah about greatness but this band has been showing the progress since lead singer Matt Vasquez disbanded Noise Ratchet. Delta Spirit are musicians musicians. A band that can be appreciated by everyone that struggled, persevered and caught lightning in a bottle on their way to greatness.

The lead single 'California' is a pounding, driving hook ladden song prompting an ex to move on because you realize the failure in yourself to be able to do so.  It's a beautiful song with layers of 'ooh ooh' chorus (come on you know I'm hooked) that will have you rolling down the windows on a cold midwest day.

The most frustrating thing in listening to the LP and lauded praise on the band is that as of yet they have not announced a Detroit show on their current tour.  Bummer Dude....

Stand out tracks are 'California, 'Empty House', 'time Bomb,'Into The Darkness'.

Recommendation: Write The label and publicist GET THIS BAND here. In the meantime buy the LP, CD or the package that gives you everything.

11/21/2007 - American Ganster Movie Review
Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe give their usual brilliant performances, but the movie falls a bit short. Crowe's character is given too much screen time and the masterful mind of a drug lord is not explored enough. American Gangster is a good film but you leave feeling like one of Lucas's junkies, desiring a bit more.
