Although often erratic and undecided directionally, Satursday Looks Good To Me turn out one thing: Excellent 70’s driven pop. Whether the band is floating from Motown to Glam (subtly) their sound delights, even if the vocals are still somewhat off.
The band’s latest offers 11 tracks of music that at time will remind you of Belle And Sebastian or The Temptations. Standouts include ’The Americans’, ’Hands In Snow’ and ’Peg’. The lyrical content is light and airy but SLGTM have turned out another decent album that Detroit can be proud is their own.
7 out of 10 stars.
